DRESS CODE REMINDER
Please remember that High Country has a dress code we encourage students and parents to follow. All HCEC participants and families are encouraged to dress in a modest, tasteful fashion.
Family Handbook: Standards for Parents and Students:
· Shirts with sleeves are required. Tank tops, strapless tops, off-the-shoulder tops, and leggings may only be worn when covered by a shirt, blouse, sweater, or jacket.
· Tops and dresses must fully cover the midriff, cleavage, and undergarments.
· Pants, dresses, skirts, and shorts must be long enough to allow sitting, bending, and participating in activities modestly. They should not be excessively tight, excessively baggy, or worn below the hips.
· Clothing should not be excessively tight, sheer, or revealing. Clothing with rips, tears, or holes above the knee should be avoided unless leggings or another layer provides adequate coverage.
Spring 2027 Classes: Recently a survey was sent out asking which classes you would like to see in the spring. The top results from the survey and the whiteboards (located in the lobby for two weeks) are below. If you are interested in teaching any of these classes or if you have another idea for a class, please reach out to the Class Director and/or Class Manager (classdirector@hche.org or classmanager@hche.org). We can provide ideas for classes and have curriculum available.

Grades 6-8 – Art, Writing & Science tied, Sports & Foreign Language tied

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Appreciation Week - November 3-4: We set aside a special time each semester to show appreciation to those who serve HCHE so faithfully. Is there a Teacher, Vital Partner, Staff Member, NLC Hospitality Staff member or another parent who has made your time here especially meaningful? Here’s your chance to let them know with a note of thanks, a homemade treat or any “special something.”
Registration Volunteers: It’s that time again! Sign up to work as a volunteer for the Spring 2027 semester and improve your registration time. Volunteers will be onsite again this week to receive your applications.
Class Evaluations: Class Evaluations are now open in your family portal. Click News-Evaluation to share your class experiences this semester. The form only takes a few minutes to complete. Each teacher at High Country is committed to bringing quality to their classes and your feedback provides better insight to them and the administration. Please take a moment to complete your form by October 18th.
Feeling Called to Serve? Consider doing a “Vital Partner” hour while you’re onsite, or even become a staff member! Click HERE to view the open VP positions.
Yearbooks are available to purchase with an early bird coupon code for a limited time. The link to order is on our Members Only page. The yearbook class is working hard to capture your memories; you don’t want to miss getting a copy. You may upload fun pictures from HCHE events and classes on the same website where you purchase the yearbook. The yearbook class appreciates having a wide variety of photos to choose from.
Lunch Program: Open from 9:30am to 1:45pm.
