HCSG Curriculum Listing Policies
Purpose
This website has been created as a benefit to our membership and to help provide a public forum to facilitate the exchange (buying, selling and trading) of curriculum and materials specifically related to homeschooling. It is not intended for listing other items, such as household items, collectibles, or personal items. It should not be used to solicit business or any multi-level opportunities.
Membership
This is for use by High Country Support Group members only. If you are not a member, please download a membership form on the SG front page, and follow the directions on the form before you list items with us.
Responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring that buying or selling your item is legal. You must also ensure you legally own the item and have the right to sell it. Make sure you describe your items accurately and you are not selling items that are unauthorized copies.
Correspondence is between the seller and the buyer and all arrangements are between the two parties. High Country is not involved in any transaction and is neither an agent for the buyer or seller and as such is not responsible for any legal aspect of the transaction. High Country is not responsible for collections or non-payment and also does not warrant any of the items exchanged. High Country is also not responsible for collection or remission of applicable sales or use tax that may be due on the transaction.
Listing an Item
You can list an item by going to the Add item button.
You can choose to list your item in both a Subject category and a Grade Level category. You can also list the item in multiple categories under those two headings if the item fits in more categories. Fill in the information boxes about your item using an accurate description of your item. You can see the items you listed by clicking on the Your Items button. If you need to edit or delete the item you can use those buttons next to the title of your item.
Also, your items will only stay activated for 6 months. At that point, they will be inactive. If you’d like to make sure they continue to be viewed, go into that particular listing and make a small change and edit the item. This will give it a new start date.
Contacting a seller
You can contact a seller by either their email or phone number. The manner and method for completing the transaction is solely the responsibility of the buyer and seller. If you do not know the person, we suggest meeting in a public place and using cash as the payment method.
