The home schooling families of New Life Church offer a three-part program and serve not only New Life Church families, but also homeschooling families from all over the state.  High Country is first of all a support group. We offer a variety of services, group activities, and events for support and fellowship to our member families. A monthly newsletter, family directory, and legislative updates, senior graduation, and HSLDA discount are some of what is included.

Secondly, High Country offers a variety of enrichment classes geared toward supplementing your own homeschooling program, but not to replace it.  Classes are offered for students from kindergarten through high school.  We meet for two 12-week semesters on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

In addition, we operate an independent school, High Country Christian Academy. HCCA is incorporated as a private school and children enrolled are considered off-campus students. They are not under the homeschool law, but under the private school regulations, which is a legal option to homeschool in the state.

The three divisions of High Country Home Educators are optional services and each division must be joined separately. You need only join the division(s) that suit your family needs. Please refer to each separate branch page for more information.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Believing that children are a blessing from the Lord (Psalm 127:3), and that it is both our privilege and responsibility to train our children in the ways of God, we at High Country Home Educators, are committed to assist one another with these responsibilities.

Our purpose is to strengthen our families  by reflecting Biblical standards in our homes and marriages, as established in Ephesians 5:21-33.

We endeavor to raise up our children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4) through godly instruction in these four primary areas: spiritual training, character development, academics, and practical life skills.

Our Philosophy:

High Country believes that God holds parents ultimately responsible for the education and spiritual training of their children.  High Country was established to support Christian home schooling families in raising their children according to Deuteronomy 6, and to assist and encourage them in their home schooling endeavors.
